Nine Months

I know this is a bit late but better late than never. This last month has been a blast. We have been playing outside lots Abbie loves to play in the grass and take walks, we also let her play in her swimming pool grandma got her and she loved it I had to pry her out of it she loves getting splashed on, this girl is for sure a water lover.
Abbie got her first tooth brush and she loves to help brush her teeth well maybe she just likes to suck on the brush but as long as we are trying to make a habit out of it I guess that is all that counts. Tooth count this month 7 almost 8, can't believe how big she is getting.
Abbie now can crawl up and down stairs although she still gets a little scared going down she can do it without falling.
For the 4th our plans where changed a little my Grandma passed away and the viewing and funeral where friday and sat. It was very fitting that we have the funeral that weekend she loved her country so much we love you Grandma we are so happy Abigail was able to meet you.
So after the funeral the family came over to our house and we went to the Kaysville Fireworks Abbie loved them she just kept saying wow ohh it was so cute.
Then on Sunday we Celebrated my B-day yep big 23. We ate had cake and ice cream then set off a few of our own fireworks. Yes Abbie held a sparkler with assistance of course she was not to sure what to think but loved the bright light.
The whole family had Monday off work so we made a day out of it we stared off by going to boondocks we went mini golfing and bowling so fun Abbie enjoyed watching and holding the putters for us. she also loved to watch the bowling balls go down the lain. Then we headed over to the park not realizing it was Layton days we finally made or way through people and had a picnic lunch together, love pb&j's. After lunch we all got to just relax I love getting to spend the day with family.
Cherish the time you get to spend with family and friends you never know when when it can come to and end.
A week later we celebrated Michelle's birthday. We love you thanks for being a great sister and aunt you are amazing.
And to end an amazing month It is Kenny's Birthday today.( for some reason we like July). Happy Birthday babe you are the best dad and husband I could ask for we love you some much and hope you have an amazing year to come.

Eight Months

So can you believe it my little girl is already eight months old. She is growing so fast I know i say it every month but it is true. So for some updates on how she is doing. She now has a grand total of four teeth and I am sure a few are on the way, she is now a crawler getting into anything and everything, she also loves to pull herself up and stand on everything and she is talking more everyday and trying to form new sounds. This girl loves to play with her tongue she can move that thing into any shape it is crazy.
Last month Kenny and I decided to each take a week of our vacation we decided we would stick around home and take Abbie a few places. We where able to go to the Zoo, Aquarium, we went swimming, went to Park City and took a trip to Vernal for memorial weekend. It was such a fun week I loved spending it with my little family. Abigail like the zoo okay the animals didn't move a ton so she didn't know what to look at but when they did she loved it. The Aquarium was a different story she loved it the sting rays where her favorite she loved to touch them.
We went to Park city on our way to Vernal to do a little shopping man to many good deals.
vernal was also really nice we where able to spend a lot of time with Grandma and Kaysie Jeff and Sophie it was really good to be able to see Abbie with her grandma you can tell she loves her so much. It was in Vernal Abbie decided to make Crawling her new form of transportation it was so cute she has been working on it for weeks and in one day it just happened. Well hopefully I will get better at updating but for now here are some pics.

seven months a little late

Just a quick post for seven months (mostly pics). The swinging pictures are from five-and-a-half months. It was her first trip to the park. She LOVES to swing!

She is getting more mobile each day. She is SUPER close to crawling but is not quite there yet. She does an army-crawl-worm-scoot thing but hasn't quite figured out the arm and leg coordination. She is starting to get some curls in her hair (We know we are partial but we think it's super cute). But seriously, that crawling thing is going to happen any day now.

On the teething front: she has two that are almost all the way in with a couple of more that are pushing through. The bottom-front are the ones showing and the top-fronts are the ones on the way. She has been a little bit grouchy but not too bad for being a teething girl (she tries to be super sweet even when she is hurting).

She is starting to use her sippy-cup lots and loves to snack on Club crackers. She likes lots of food (so far she has liked everything we have given her). Some of her favorites are squash, sweet potatoes, apples, peaches and prunes.

Laura and I are having so much fun with this little girl. She is the light of our lives and we love her more every day. She always tries to be sweet and she is still really cuddly. She has recently been dancing when she hears a killer-beat and is now trying to form words like burp, poop, uh-oh, dadda and mamma (at least those seem to be the words we say that she pays particular attention to). 6 Months already

So I can't believe it another month has come and gone and I can't believe my little girl is already 6 months. she is getting so fun she rolls all over and I think it is just a matter of time before she starts crawling she gets into position she just does not get how to put it all together. She is so responsive she loves to smile and laugh and talk oh my does this girl love to talk it is going to be crazy when she starts to form words. It is so cute when she smiles she shows off her little tooth I love it. So for the events of the month Abigail is now a sitter she is so cute she will still tip every so often but I think it is official a sitter cant believe it. Abbie and I got to go to Park City and meet up with grandma Kaysie and Sophie to do a little shopping the girls got their easter dresses so cute it is so fun when family is around. then later that week Kaysie Jeff and Sophie spent the weekend with us. We got to color Easter eggs with the girls Abbie just wanted to grab things but I think she enjoyed it. and last Easter Abigail had her first Easter and second General Conference crazy. we went over to my dads had breakfast, watched conference celebrated Kenneth's birthday had an amazing dinner. Abbie got her Easter basket it was a really good day. Abbie loved listening to the tabernacle choir she was so sweet. well I think that is the events of the last month time sure does fly when you are having fun.

5 Months

Holy cow time goes by way to fast Abigail is already 5 months old. WOW ! So much has happened she is getting so big. I had to put away all of her 0-3 month clothes I know should have been done a while ago, but she still kinda fit in some. It is hard seeing things go, I guess because it is a reminder she wont always be so little. It has been so fun watching her grow up, she had a lot of big things happen the end of last month she had been rolling from her back to tummy for a long time but just could never figure out how to roll all the way over. Well she did it she is now a mover rolling all over the place it is so cute. I was sad she decided to roll while I was at work. When Kenny told me I was was so proud of her but at the same time I wished I had been there. I was glad Kenny got to witness it though. Another big thing she is getting her first tooth crazy I didn't think it would happen this early. Poor girl has been in a bit of pain but it is so dang cute it is barley showing through the gum. And the last thing Kenny and I decided we would start her on baby food when she turned five months so last night was the big day she got her first taste of squash and she loved it, it was so cute watching her taste it. Her favorite things to do right now are stand up in your lap and roll she also loves to watch mom cook. She is growing up and getting more adorable every day. I just love her so much. I thought I would post a few pics of her so here goes.

We where able to take Abbie to Temple square she loved it she got all bundled up and we headed out she was so cute she loves lights and would just stare at them she also loved looking at the temple.

We also had Abbie's two month check up she weighs 10 lbs 10 ounces, and is 23 inches long the doc said she is a tall skinny baby. She also got her shots she was a real trouper.

We Blessed Abbie on Dec 6th she was so stinking cute in her dress, Kenny gave her an amazing blessing I love him so much and i am so grateful he is worthy. The family all came over it was really nice to have everyone together does not happen often. We are now looking forward to Christmas just a few days away we get to spend almost four days in V-Town can't wait I love when we are able to see Kenny's family for longer than just a day.

So a lot has happened sense our last post, we have had Thanksgiving Abbies first, Kenny and I had our Second Anniversary, we set up our christmas tree, I am back at work, and last of all Abbie is two months old. It is crazy how fast time is going I cant believe that I have been married for two years, Kenny means the world to me and has helped me through a lot of good and bad times and I could not have made it without him. I love you babe. Also I can't believe Abbie is already two months time has flown she is becoming such a big girl, her personality is growing every day. Sadley I am now back to work it is sad leaving Abbie but it is also a refief knowing she is with my sister and then Kenny. It is kinda nice being back at work I missed the girls more than I thought, and my clients i love being a Mom but I also love doing hair so I am glad I can have the best of both worlds.two year anniversary two months Thanksgiving

Three Generations

We took Abbie to sacrament a few weeks ago for the first time and she was such an angel. Well a few days before while at my parents I decided to get my blessing dress. Kenny told me he wanted her to wear it her first week at church I was so touched. My blessing dress means the world to me you see it was not only my blessing dress but it was also my moms. So this is our three generation picture Abbie, me and my mom (her dress). WE LOVE YOU MOM/GRANDMA.

So I thought it was about time to do some updating. Halloween was pretty fun we loved carving Abbies pumpkin and we loved dressing her up I thought she was one darn cute ladybug. Kenny and I are loving life as parents Abbie is an amazing baby we could not have asked for better. Kenny has been an amazing dad he loves his little girl so much and he is so good at helping me out. Abbie is growing up so fast I cant believe it six weeks old and getting more adorable every day. She has just started to smile and it is dang cute I can't get enough of it, also Kenny and I where amazed we put her down to bed and when we went up to bed she had turned 90 degrees I am going to have to keep a close eye on her. Well we just love our little girl to death and can't wait to watch her continue to grow. She is our life. well on to some pics.

Thought I should put up some pics from Yellowstone it was the funnest trip Kenny and I can't wait to take Abbie one day. Kenny was so fun to watch it was his first time going and he was so excited we saw lots of animals Kenny made a check list and we almost saw everything he wanted to. One of the things Kenny wanted to see was a Grizzly and we saw one he just happened to be the one driving at the time so he did not get the best look but still it was checked off the list. I love Family vacations and I cant wait to take our kids on them.

So, we went to our big ultrasound a couple of weeks ago. It was really exciting! We were a little disappointed they didn't have the 3-D ultrasound machine up and running. The disappointment soon left when our little girl popped up on the screen. It amazes me how much they can see! We saw her heart, brain, liver, kidneys, stomach, lungs, etc. You name it, we probably saw it.

Everything looks good from what they saw. Her lip even looked good, no cleft lip. She was so cute and she moved lots, kicking her legs right into my bladder. That seems like her favorite place to be lately and it is definitely not mine (having to pee every two seconds gets real old). We didn't get to many good looks at her face because she had her hands crossed over it most of the time. We are so excited to meet her!

On another note, Kenny and I are pretty proud of ourselves. Kenny's car battery died last night. We took it to Autozone tonight and, sure enough, we needed a new one. We didn't want to spend $125 + to have one installed. We decided it couldn't be that hard and opted to install it ourselves. We disconnected the cables, took the old battery out, fastened the new battery in and connected the cables to the new battery. After that we turned the key and, wala, the engine fired up. We were super pleased with ourselves.

One more thing, my Mom's monument got put in a few weeks ago. We think it turnned out really good and I am sure my Mom would agree. It was a bit of a task picking out what we wanted because we are a very simple family....maybe too simple. After all was said and done I love what we picked.

Growing Belly

I have had a few people ask me to post pics of my growing belly, so I thought it was about time to do so. We should have our baby update and pics of our ultrasound up soon, for those who wanted that update also. Life has been crazy for some reason all I wanted to do today was clean. Kenny says I am nesting, and I guess I would have to agree. I just want to make sure we have everything done for when the baby comes. I know it is still months away but while I am still feeling as good as I have, I want to do as much as I can. Well on to the pics.

22 weeks!!!!

Some exciting things have happened since our last post. We ordered the crib and changing table and they arrived last weekend. We were so excited that we put them together that night! Now we just need to find some bedding. If anyone knows of a place with cute Ladybug stuff that doesn't have too much black let us know.

We also had a doctors appointment. I dropped two pounds but the doctor was not worried. He says the weight will come and to make sure I drink lots fluids so I don' t swell too bad. The baby's heartbeat was a strong 160 bpm. She even kicked on command. Kenny loves saying "Abbie's gonna kick," and most of the time she does. It is so cute! We are getting more excited everyday. We are getting our big ultra sound on the 17th so we will report on how that goes.

Half way there!!!!

We have hit our half way point. 20 weeks down and only 20 to go. We are getting more excited every day. We found a crib we loved but found out it would no longer be available. Ever since I have been on a qwest to find another one I liked. Well, my qwest was not going so well. I decided to look up the crib I had fallen in love with once more, and by some miracle I found it. We ordered it right away, the matching changing table also. It's a good thing we did because it is all sold out again.

We go to the Doctor again a week from tommorrow. We are excited to hear the baby's heartbeat. Kenny is starting to feel the baby move and loves to listen to her move in my belly. He loves singing and talking to her. He will be an amazing daddy.

Baby news and Easter!!!!!

So to start off we are pretty late on putting up our Easter Pics, so here goes. Over Easter weekend we went to Vernal to go see Kenny's mom and her husband, we got there on Saturday and went over to Aunt Chris' house to have dinner and hang with the family. It was a blast we got to see Mom and Chris hula-hoop. Kenny missed out but I will vouch they were pretty good and it was pretty funny.

Then, on Sunday, we went to church then had a picnic. While on the picnic we did a little shooting. Kenny was awesome, me not so much. We had a good time and didn't do to bad with the hand gun.

Last Monday we had another trip to the doctor. Everything still looks great although I lost a little more weight. And for the exciting news we had an ultrasound! The doctor says it looks like a little girl. She was not shy at all, legs spread wide, for all to see. So the doctor got a pretty good look.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I just thought I would sit down and write Happy Birthday to my Mom, and thank her for all that she did for me and still does. Sounds odd but it makes me feel better so that is all that matters. My mom was the greatest person and she still is, I feel her helping me everyday and i know she is watching over me. Being pregnant my emotions have been all over the place and my mom always comes to the center of my thoughts. I wonder how I am going to raise a child with her not being by my side but I know I will be fine and she will find a way to help me, she already has. And I am going to have one lucky kid having a grandma and a grandpa in heaven to help teach them and prepare them for this crazy world and its crazy family what more could I ask for, it is not going to want to leave. My mom was the greatest person I know, she was always willing to help anyone in need, she would go out of her way to help us kids and her school kids she always put us first and I am so thankful for all that she did for me. I just hope that I can be half as good of a mom as you were to me. I will never forget all that you did for me I may have gotten angry at times but I never questioned my love for you and I know you never questioned your love for me ( even if I did think I was adopted). I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!

Baby's Heart Beat

Yesterday we went to the Doctors again, and we were able to hear the babies heartbeat again. It was so neat to be able to hear it and know that this is for real. At our first appointment the heartbeat was pretty slow 135 bpm, a typical boy heartbeat, and at the appointment yesterday he said that it was pretty fast, more like a girl. So, a boy or a girl, that is the question. The doctor is hopeful that he will be able to tell at our next appointment. No matter what he says we won't be convinced until about twenty weeks. Too many people we know have had their doctor be wrong lately.

Baby is Growing

Recently we found out the baby is now the size of a kumquat and now we ask, what is a kumquat? We were told it is the size of a lime, which sounds about right. But now we wonder, why don't they just say it is the size of a lime?

We are getting excited for its first movements and can't wait until it gets bigger. We also can't wait to find out what it is. We will be excited either way but can't wait to start buying things.

So I think I have finally gotten over that nasty cold, and now I am starting to think maybe I wont get to sick knock on wood. I am thinking that the coughing was the thing causing me to not feel so well. Don't get me wrong certain foods still make me sick to my stomach but I can honestly say it has not been bad at all so as long as I don't get a cold again hopefully I will do okay. I am starting to realize what foods I can and can't eat it has been rough trial and error I guess you could say. But one thing I can say I love for now at least is broccoli cheese soup from Jason's Deli, best soup ever and a funny thing my mom was eating broccoli soup when she went into labor with my brother I thought it was kinda cool.

Darn cold !!!!!!

I have had a nasty cold for the past few days and am not liking it, being new to this pregnant thing I have no clue if there is anything I can do to help it go away. Coughing and being nauseous do not mix well let me tell ya. I thought I was doing great until this week thought I may be one of the lucky ones and not get sick but surprise I am not so lucky. Oh well it will all be worth it in the end.
